After graduating from York University with a Kinesiology Degree Joanne enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at one of Toronto's founding massage schools, Sutherland-Chan. Graduating in 1998, she completed her board exams and registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario in the fall of 1998. In the spring of 1999, she opened the doors to her practice in Pickering.
For the past 27 plus years, Joanne has dedicated herself to improving the overall health and well-being of her patients. Every patient has their own unique set of treatment requirements and part of her success over the years stems from ensuring that each one of her patients receives the very best care, individually customized to them. What Joanne finds most fulfilling about her profession is the ability to improve her patient’s acute and chronic conditions and help them to live their lives to the fullest while reducing their need for medications. Deep tissue Therapeutic Massage is the main discipline Joanne practices. The treatment of soft tissue damage, muscle aches and pains, stress and injuries are the primary focus with relaxation as an ancillary benefit.

On a personal note, Joanne shares her life with Pierre Habib, her husband of more than 25 years. Pierre is a Professional Realtor with Sutton Group-Heritage Realty Inc. Both Joanne and Pierre have spent their entire lives in the Toronto area and have happily resided in the Durham Region for almost three decades. In her down time, Joanne enjoys exercising, sailing, travelling and spending time with her dogs, her friends and her family.
